AUDIO INTERVIEW WITH LILLIE BISHOP (1986)

In 1986, then O.S.B.I. Agent Bob Powell (Narrator/Interviewer) interviewed  Grover's second wife, Lillie, in her home. This audio recording has been heard in several decades. Even Powell was shocked to hear we had uncovered the 36-year-old interview.  Jack Goss deserves the credit for preserving interview (on cassette).

LOCATION OF SEPTEMBER 15, 1932 SHOOTOUT

Former Cherokee County Under Sheriff Jack Goss is on location at the infamous September 15, 1932 shootout in Cherokee County that ended in the death of Officers Reece and Edwars and outlaw Bud McClain.

OLD ILLINOIS RIVER BRIDGE

Before Lake Tenkiller was in existence, it was the Illinois River. Jack Goss takes us to the location of where the old wooden bridge over the Illinois River stood.

REX BRINLEE

Although Rex doesn't appear in either episode nor was he a part of Bishop's storyline, former Principal Chief of the Cherokee Nation Bill John Baker, reminisces on one of Tahlequah's more infamous bad boys.
